Blue Scholars are a hip-hop duo from Seattle with Geologic on the mic and Sabzi behind the decks. Socially conscious, politically active and all 'round intelligent music from a culturally diverse group - Geo is Filipino (represent) and Sabzi is of Iranian background. Their second album, Bayani, translates to both "hero of the people" in Tagalog (Filipino) and "the Word" in Persian. How fuckin' bawse is that??
