Wish They Made More Music Videos Like This

Cinnamon Chasers is a UK based one man project from Russ Davies. Havn't really heard much of his work but the song Luv Deluxe has a chilled out electro sound somewhat similar of Royksopp (who coincidently have great music videos). I found myself watching this clip over and over and it seems to get better every time. Notable comment on the video said it portrayed Murphey's Law which is explained as "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong".
Enough commentry check it out:
*edit: As seedy as it sounds I now really want to pick up some random girl and go on a crazy roadtrip adventure

Freakin' wanna see them live

Preferably with Heiruspecs as their live band, or heck, with the whole Rhymesayers roster coming along too.

5ves

Been really into Heiruspecs and ArtOfficial lately, feeling the laid back live hip hop grooves. 5ves has been on repeat for the last few days and is the type of song which sticks in your head. Gotta love the starcraft shoutout too.

It's for the live shows
It's for the beats and
It's for the woman who sleeps under my sheets
It's for the energy that builds exponentially
It's for my friends who keep on re-inventing me

I ♥ Hip-Hop

Macklemore - I Said Hey

I don't care who are or where you're from or what you believe in
but if you love hip-hop I bet it's more or less for the same reason
This is it, when you spit you exist in that moment
and if you're sick with that gift then you rip it when you perform it
then all the shit that you've lived  begins to lift off your shoulders
and the audience will then get to experience where your soul is
The most amazing feeling rocking a crowd to your anthem
to the front to the back with their motherfucking hands up
'cause I'm an MC, won't be the first, won't be the last
just another b-boy and i'ma die in my stance.

Now you can get intricate displaying your fancy cadences
but if you're not speaking the truth you might as well not be saying shit!

And if you want to you can go and label me conscious
but just remember there's a kid at a bus stop beatboxin'
who's life will be affected by what's inside of his walkman.

Fort Street Represent

The wait is nearly over, just 1 more sleep until Fort Street Fest. I know i'm as geed for K-0ner as everyone else is but theres an inside word that Nick Lupi from Spit Syndicate and Adit and Nick BS from Horrorshow will be making an appearence. Also stick around for Triple J's Unearthed's Phatchance who will be performing from 3:40 onwards but get there early to check out the very talented Jae Moon and battle of the bands veterans Cradle of Faith.

Seriously what a year FSHS '05 was. I remember going to the end of Year IMP concerts every year since 2000 and watching the quality school bands with Fuji Collective involved and well as Nick BS on drums. Yep thats right Solo plays (or at least played) the drums and i'm guessing there is some influence of that on Horrorshows' 'The Grey Space' and 'Inside Story '.

I also remember Miriam Waks and Nick BS being the stage band singers (yeah there were singers in the stage-band once). I have seen Miriam's performances advertised in the paper and she has appeared on Spit Sydnicate, Phatchance and Coptic Soldier tracks. My dad used to always compare Nick's style and voice to Frank Sinatra and listening to Horrorshow I can see where he is coming from.

Mos Dub

Max Tannone, who released Jaydiohead (mash-up of Raidohead/Jay-Z) has dropped another album. This time he infuses the hip-hop styling of none other than fan favourite Mos Def. Tannone takes some of Mos Def's best songs and infuses them well with dub beats.

Kobeeee for threeeeeeeeeee

Well not really, but there are now three contributors to the blog, yay. That's like half the number of followers we have!

[theshit] has joined the team and judging by the pseudonym, he/she doesn't want to reveal his/her identity. I'll just say that things will get more interesting as we cover another spectrum of the blogosphere ;)

[theshit]: you guys keep with your music, i'll post the intelligent shit

High Rankin combines 90's nostalgia with filthy, filthy dubstep

This song just fucking rules, no other way to describe it. The song remixed is Delerium-Silence which if you don't know by name you'll definately know when the chorus kicks in. High Rankin and Evolve or Die give this song the dubstep do-over beggining with a laid-back, almost surreal like into which leads to a hellish drop complete with High Rankin signature bass. I don't know too much about Evolve or Die but check them out anyway.

Tiesto + Diplo?

As some of you probably know a new Diplo/Tiesto track was just released yesterday. This is dominating the blogosphere right now and with good reason. Technocolourkids calls this an arena song so to get the full impact here it is being dropped at a massive arena.
Song is called C'Mon go and grab it off beatport or some other blog (almost capped like a motherfucker).

Tiesto vs. Diplo-C'Mon

I think you're a hater.

Track I found in the Skream discog, haha

New Shad!

So Canadian rapper Shad dropped his latest album "TSOL".  Just downloaded it so I haven't really had a good listen through yet which means nm reviewing here. But then again everything that comes out of this man's mouth is str8 fire; I wouldn't post an album if I didn't think it was quality, and I'm just so damn confident in this guy I can say that it won't disappoint even before I listen to it. Check out his two previous albums if you want clarification (When This Is Over and The Old Prince). I'll probably post those two later too since they're classics in my opinion.

Ever feel like you can't relate to rap?

this is the guy for you

Mars.

English producer DJ Touche aka Fake Blood is definately one of my favourite producers. Mars still remains one of my favourite electro tracks and was THE song of 2008. Seriously, this track was massive and had a big hand in making Fake Blood one of the most respected DJs in the world. There are so many Mars remixes but my favourite is the Player's 95 remix. Player's 95 cuts up the beat and gives it a chill kind of hip hop sound, giving it an original feel the others don't achieve. Expect much more Fake Blood to come in the future (I heard he dropped some new original stuff at a recent show)

Here Comes A New Challenger!

Count Scratchula aka H-Diddy aka Frisky D aka DJ Melonflesh aka Flex Mannington aka Alex Haidinger joins the show! He's a good mate of mine so many of our interests are shared, meaning a smooth and consistent blog surfing experience :)
But the extra things he'll bring to the table will be the most exciting part, bringing you the latest in electro tracks and hipster happenings.

Edit: Derp, his intro post came after his first post. See below to see it!

Also here's a 10 minute mix showcasing his DJ abilities and taste:

Starting Things Off With A Bang

So i thought I'd start my first post with a couple of electro bangers.

This first track is a Busy P track remixed by the Italian duo Crookers. Busy P is a French DJ who has managed the likes of Daft Punk and currently owns Ed Banger Records who have signed artists such as Justice, DJ Mehdi, Uffie and SebastiAn. Crookers takes this track and adds a heavy bass line to it making it a great party banger. The drop at 1:30 is classic Crookers. Rapper Murs also delivers some pretty witty lines so watch out for those.

The second track was released a few weeks ago and it's a new remix of a classic electro song. We've all heard Benny Benassi's song Satisfaction and Dutch DJ Afrojack puts his opwn touch on it. It starts off with tribal drums with the vocals over it and takes a turn which showcases the heavy hitting melodies Afrojack is best known for.

I wish I could draw

'Cause then I'd ditch this blog and make shit like this instead

Why yes, that is the clone of Benjamin Franklin.

Dr. McNinja is a webcomic I've been getting into recently, ever since I traced the roots of that pic I used for my Give Broseph Your Number event on fb. It follows the adventures of the titular doctor-who-is-also-a-ninja as he battles Mexican banditos, a Danish film star and a horde of zombie ninjas, among other well known agents of evil. Now I don't want to spoil any more for you  guys 'cause it's so much better to read it for yourself, but there is something there that simply made me bust a nut (hint: it involves velociraptors)

Also, another shoutout this time to Sarah for being a blogspiration and my second follower!

That picture I was talking about after the jump, btw.

So I was just strolling through my old Bebo...

And discovered what is quite possibly the most horrifying pull for a webscam (a webcam scam, get it? ....I think I just invented a word. Fuck Yea)

Click to see. If you don't want to sleep tonight.

Just, what? Man...

Oh yeah, and a mad shoutout to Angelo for being my first (and currently only) follower. He's always had a knack for noticing greatness. 4srz.
